RTK NTRIP
This option utilises an existing RTK network of fixed base stations that deliver the correction signal via the internet and SIM cards. A subscription with a RTK service provider is required to use the correction signal, see ‘NTRIP Subscription’.
When purchasing the SimplySteer kit with RTK NTRIP there is the option to add a Subscription with one of our trusted RTK network providers, which will be discussed before completion or alternatively you can source your own network provider.
RTK BASE STATION
Uses an individual mobile base station for the correction signal, which is positioned within a limited distance to the GNSS Receiver on the vehicle. The base station transmits the correction signal via a set radio frequency.
RTK + SBAS (EGNOS, WAAS)
Adds the ability to use SBAS (Satellite Based Augmentation System) as well as either of the RTK options. SBAS uses a satellite transmitted correction signal and your location on the globe will determine which system is used, for example Europe uses EGNOS and USA uses WAAS. Although the service is free to use, it is less accurate then RTK, but is more than sufficient for operations that require less accuracy than planting if you have limited setup time or subscription.
